Ski Russia

Russia-2062

I grew up in the cold war, Russia was always the enemy so when the opportunity to visit Russia on a ski trip to the Kola Peninsula in 2003 I jumped at the chance. That trip flew to St Petersburg then took a train 1000km north to the mining town of Apatity where an old armored personnel carrier into the mountains where we spent 8 days exploring the local mountains. Since then we have made 8 trips to Russia exploring the western Caucuses, climbing Elbrus on skis and skiing the active volcanos of Kamchatka. If you would like to experience the real Russia, the unique culture and hospitality of the people get in touch and we can talk about the many exciting places to explore.
