Svalbard Ski Cruise 25 May – 2 June 2016 – £3900

Experience unique ski touring and the beauty of Svalbard on our Arctic Ski Cruise expedition. Unforgettable moments with magnificent scenery, arctic wildlife, great skiing and midnight sun. During this expedition we will be cruising along the west coast of Svalbard between the latitudes 77–80 degrees north.

Bruce has teamed up with Swedish Arctic expert and IFMGA Guide Anders Bergwall and Arctic Guides to offer this unique ski experience. Anders has been running Arctic Ski Cruises for many years and we are able to join his group of guides and clients this spring.

Every day we will take you to explore new areas for epic ski touring. First descents, powder and spring snow, untouched lines ending to sand beaches. Whales feeding in the fjords and polar bear tracks crossing the remote arctic landscape.

Besides ski touring in this incredible environments we will be running daily Gore & Haglöfs clinics. You have a chance to learn more about latest Gore technologies and test and evaluate the newest products. Our ship M/S Origo is constructed for heavy ice conditions and equipped with the latest navigation and safety technology. She has been operating at Svalbard for over 20 years. The vessel offers cosy accommodation in double cabins with delicious meals. M/S Origo is booked only for our group during the expedition. The maximum group size for this expedition is 20 persons.

We will join the boat in Longyearbyen which is easily reached by daily flight from Oslo (it is usually necessary to overnight in Oslo prior to the flight). It is possible to arrive a day early and explore Longyearbyen but it is not possible to extend the ski trip due to the polar bears.
